(BISMILAAHI R'RAHMAANI R'RAHEEM)
Dear Brothers & Sisters
Assalaamu Alaikkum wa Rahmathullaahi wa Barakaathu hu
Today (Tuesday) is the 21st day of Ramdhaan, as per the moon-phases,
which Noble Quraan says as showing the dates. But for many Muslims
the date is only 20th and for still others in India, Pakistan the date is only 19th !!
We are quoting a hadeeth for your perusal:
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that
when the last ten nights began
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) kept awake at night (for prayer and devotion),
wakened his family, and prepared himself to observe prayer (with more
vigour).

UNQUOTE
Please note the words highlighted.. How
did they know when the LAST TEN began ?? Without knowing the duration
of the month, it is not possible to know exactly the LAST ten days.
Also
note that the Prophet (Salallaahu alaihi wa sallam) never observed
I'thikaaf for 9 or 11 days, even though it was started on 20th Fajr on
some years and on 21st Fajr on rest of the years. But, each time EXACT
TEN days - neither one day short nor one day more. ALLAAHU AKBAR !
From
the above hadeeth it is very much clear that the Prophet (Sallallaahu
alaihi wa sallam) and the Sahaba (RA) knew in advance when the LAST ten
days started. Or in other words, they (RA) knew in advance whether the
month has 29 days or 30 days !!
SUBHAANALLAAH
In
other words, they (RA) did not wait till the night of 29th to ascertain
whether the month has 30 days or not, as being practiced by the
majority of Muslims at present.
It is crystal clear that starting the new month after seeing the SETTING
moon on the West is a Bid'ah and it is very unfortunate that majority
of Muslims still follow this Bid'ah.
They
do not realise that in a calendar there should be only one date for a
day of the week. If 1st Ramdhaan is on Wednesday, all people having
Wednesday must take 1st as their date. But, in the present scenario,
1-09-1436 fell on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This is not
acceptable and following such a system is blasphemy on Islaam.
Almighty Allaah has certified Islaam as "Perfect and Complete".
Majority are making it imperfect and incomplete. NAUDUBILLAAH !
Many
may get agitated when we say the truth. But, if we too keep silent
when a Hijri date falls on 3 days of the week, we too become
participants in the Bid'ah. ASTAGFIRULLAAH !
This
Ramdhaan started on Wednesday. The first waxing crescent was seen on
Wednesday sun-set, after the day-light part of the first of Ramdhaan,
was over. One can count 29 visible phases till Wednesday (15th July)
Fajr and no waning crescent will be seen on Thursday (16th July) which
is the Day of Conjunction. Thus "Ayaaman Maududaatin" for this Ramdhaan is 30 days.
All
those who lost one or two days out of this "Ayyaaman Maududaatin" must
repent and fast for the lost days. In order to stress the importance
of "Ayyaaman Maududaatin", we are giving below the meanings, for your
ready reference:
"Maududatin" comes from the root word "Ayn-Dal-Dal" and the meanings are : to
count, number, reckon, make the census of. addun - number, computation,
determined number. adadun - number. iddatun - a number, prescribed
term, counting, to count
So it goes
without saying that the determined number of days or prescribed term
have to be spent on fasting. Almighty Allaah will not make some
people to fast for 30 days and some to fast on 29 days. HE the Almighty
is Most Just.
Eidul Fitre is on Friday (17th July) for all the Muslims throughout the world.
May
Almighty Allaah accept all our good deeds and forgive our sins and
provide all of us with a place in Jannathul Firdouse. Aameen
Wa Salaam
