(BISMILAAHI   R'RAHMAANI   R'RAHEEM)

Dear Brothers & Sisters

Assalaamu alaikkum wa Rahmathullaahi Wa Barakaathu hu

Yesterday (Tuesday) the moon was half and was seen overhead at Fajr.
Today  (Wednesday ) the moon attained the shape of a BIG Crescent with straight line caving in
showing  distinct concavity.

Since moon attained this shape in
the
Last Quarter  on
a
Wednesday, the first of
 new month
(
Ramdhaan
)
will also
fall on the following Wednesday.

If you keep observing the moon you can see "Al urjoon Al qadeem"
 (Noble Qur'aan 36:39)
on
coming Monday (15 June) at Fajr which will again confirm that 1st of Ramdhaan starts at Fajr
of coming Wednesday

(17 June).
.

All are requested to follow the Sunnah of observing all the phases of Moon throughout the year ,
especially those of Sha'baan and start fasting on correct day (Wednesday ) as per the
 moon-
phases
which show the dates (Noble Qur'aan  2:189).

Many countries including Saudi Arabia, Organisations like ISNA/FCNA  consider the difference in Sun-et & Moon-set at Makkah as a criterion to start the new month. If the moon sets after the sun, they start the new month on the following day. But if the moon sets before the Sun at Makkah, they start the new month after skipping the following day.

This criterion has no backing either from Sharia or from Astronomy.  They set Magrib at Makkah as the cut off time, which is wrong.  Because many countries on the West of Makkah have not completed even  their 5 mandatory prayers of that day,  when Makkah attains Magrib.

It is Astronomically proved that on the Day of Conjunction, at one or at many places in the world, the moon lags behind
the Sun
and sets only
after a few minutes of the setting of  Sun.  Thereby,
the hilaal gets established somewhere in the world on he Day of Conjunction itself.  Hence, considering the Day of Conjunction as the last day of the old month and starting the new month at Fajr on the following day is correct as per Sharia.

This criterion was followed by Ummul Qurrah till 1420 H and all the months were started on
the correct day by Saudi Arabia.

We request the Saudi scholars as well as astronomers  to study the subject more deeply and switch back to the criterion
used by Original Ummul Qurrah till 1420 H.

May Almighty Allaah keep all of us in the Right Path and provide  for all of us with a place in
Jannathul Firdouse. Aameen

Wa salaam
